Unreal Tournament 2004 (UT2004) remains one of the most beloved arena shooters of its era, offering fast-paced gameplay, diverse maps, and a thriving modding community. While multiplayer matches against human opponents are the heart of the experience, sometimes you’ll want to fill your server with bots, whether to practice, balance uneven teams, or simply recreate the chaos of a full match when player counts are low. Adding bots to your UT2004 server is straightforward, but it requires a bit of setup to ensure they behave as intended. Bots in UT2004 aren’t just mindless placeholders; they come with customizable skill levels, personalities, and even preferred weapons, making them surprisingly dynamic opponents. By learning how to configure and manage bots, you can tailor your server to deliver the kind of match you want, whether it’s a casual warm-up or a competitive challenge. This guide will walk you through the essentials of adding bots to your server, adjusting their difficulty, and fine-tuning their behavior so you can get the most out of your UT2004 matches.
